Within Port Angeles Highway 101 splits into two one way roads - First Street (going east) and Front Street (going west).

WEATHER EDIZ HOOK PORT ANGELES AROUND TOWN AND AREA

HOSPITAL : Turn onto Race Street heading for beach - will encounter hospital first.

GAS STATION : AM/PM on Lincoln and 8th (down the hill from the ALLVIEW HOTEL) it has the cheapest gas on Peninsula (after leaving Kingston)

WIC is located on Race Street - just past Park St. Follow signs for Hurricane Ridge and go to back area of Visitor's Center.

GROCERIES : 2 SAFEWAY stores and 1 ALBERTSON are located in town - both are on 101 and easily spotted from road.

Equipment/Gear/on 101 - SWAINS

POST OFFICE : on 1st Street (Highway 101 east) and Vine just east of downtown

PHARMACY : on 2nd - just behind and to the right of the post office.

Other hotels are fancier and much more expensive - but my choice for the best hotel in Port Angeles is based on their personal touch - the homey charm - and the price :

BEST BURGER JOINT : FRUGALS on Front (101 going West) just past McDonalds
