As promised here is some information on the above mentioned claim northeast of Battleground WA. Access is very easy to this claim. The map in the GPAA claims guide is excellent. . Other private claims both upstream and downstream from the GPAA claim. Be aware that you must have a copy of the WA. state Department of Fish and Wildlife "Gold and Fish" book with you when prospecting. Also this creek is only open from June 1 to September 30.
The gold in Copper Creek is fine flake/flour to occasional pea size nugget. Mossing, crevicing, sluicing, and up to 4 inch dredge seem to be the favored methods. This claim gets heavy usage.
