Camping regulations: Camp on bare ground only. Vegetation is very fragile. Area is generally muddy and not suitable for camping.

Fires: Fires are not allowed above 3,500 feet.

Wildlife Precautions: Save the Bears! Please properly secure your food to protect bears and yourself. Do not feed any wild animals! Bears are common in the Elwha Valley, especially during the spring and early summer.

Safety: When traveling on snow, bring an ice axe and know how to use it.
