Hiking Olympic National Park By Erik Molvar Dose Terrace Trail This trail forms a 1.2-mile loop that begins at the Dosewallips Ranger Station. Although brief, there are many small-scale climbs and descents along the way that provide plenty of exercise. It travels through a stately lowland forest on the bluffs above the Dosewallips River, a forest that took hundreds of years to reach maturity. The turquoise pools and tumbling riffles of the Dosewallips can often be seen along the route, and several spur paths provide access to the water's edge.
