LONG RIDGE TRAILDIRECTIONS TO : WHISKEY BEND TRAILHEAD - MILEPOST 239 NEAREST CAMPGROUND: Altaire/Elwha (7 miles from trail head) RANGER STATION : Toilets (Ranger station, permit registration, pay phone and water located 6 miles from trail head along Olympic Hot Springs Road). Stock Facilities: No turn around space for truck and trailer. 
An 18.8-mile backpack from Whiskey Bend to Remann's Cabin on the Elwha River. This trail offers a long but rewarding hike. This hike takes you to an elevation of 5,753 with great views of the Olympic Mountains. This trail is difficult, but commanding views are the reward.
