# 1 - NORTHERN ROUTE (BLUE line on map)
SEATAC airport to Kingston Ferry..to Highway 104..to Highway 101..to various trailheads.
Best route from airport to all Northeast, Northwest, & coastal trails.
Only route using a ferry - BUT - saves 1-2 hours driving time. Ferry is $13 for car and $6 for each passenger. Avoid Bainbridge ferry.
Step by Step Directions From SEATAC Airport :
(01) Start going East on S 156th Street - towards AIR CARGO ROAD.
 Stay on it for 0.02 miles
(02) Turn RIGHT onto AIR CARGO ROAD. Stay on it for 0.34 miles
(03) Turn LEFT onto South 160th Street. Stay on it for 0.31 miles
(04) Turn LEFT onto INTERNATIONAL BLVD (PACIFIC HIGHWAY SOUTH ) ( WA 99 ).
Stay on it for 0.22 miles
(05) Merge onto WA 518 EAST toward I 5 ( RENTON ) ( I 405 ). Stay on it for 1 .22 miles
(06) Merge onto I 5 SOUTH toward SEATTLE. Stay on it for 49.83 miles
(07) Take exit for Edmonds Ferry - Exit 177. When you have circled under highway 5
you are now on Highway 104 - you will remain on 104 until it blends into 101.
Yes ferry is part of Highway 104 - so continue wearing seatbelts until parked
or you may get ticketed.
(09) STAY in right lane and you will arrive at ferry dock after xx.x miles.
(10) Ferry takes 35 minutes - 24 minutes on the water.
(11) When exiting ferry you are still on Highway 104 - stop at AM/PM for gas.
AM/PM is always cheapest place on peninsula.
(12) Follow Highway 104 and turn with it 4.2 miles after leaving the ferry.
You will be going thru Port Gamble and over Hood Canal Bridge.
(13) 9.0 miles after you have left ferry you will be across Hood Canal Bridge
and on the Olympic Peninsula.
(14) 24.6 miles after you have left the ferry you will be at end of Highway 104
and at milepost 285 of Highway 101. Right before you blend into Highway 101
you have the choice of going to Olympia - choose that exit if heading to
Staircase, Hamma Hamma, Duckabush, Dosewallips or other Hood Canal
destinations - otherwise blend into Highway 101 and continue on towards
PORT ANGELES.
(15) Highway 101 will go through DISCOVERY BAY (SPEED TRAP) - ignore
PORT TOWNSEND (SR 20) exit unless you wish to visit this beautiful town.
Fort Worden (within city) is unbelievably great place to visit.
Officer & A Gentleman was filmed here and town has many Painted Ladies.
You are now about 35 miles from PORT ANGELES (ANN..JA..LUS) and 20 miles from SEQUIM. MILEPOST AT THIS POINT IS 285.

SEATAC airport ...to OLYMPIA...to Highway 101 ...to AMANDA PARK.
Cheapest route and Best route to Oil City & Quinault & 3rd Beach & Rialto & 2nd Beach
ABERDEEN area is SPEED TRAP - Beware.
Highway 101 meanders thru downtown & residential (ABERDEEN / HOQUIAM (HOE..QWEE..YUM) - watch signs - keep choosing US 101 to PORT ANGELES OR FORKS ) - NOT OCEAN SHORES or beaches
Step By Step Directions From SEATAC Airport :
(01) Start going East on S 156th Street - towards AIR CARGO ROAD.

(02) Turn RIGHT onto AIR CARGO ROAD. Stay on it for 0.34 miles

(07) Take EXIT 104 onto US 101 ( ABERDEEN ) ( PORT ANGELES ). Stay on it for 5.90 miles
(08) Take WA 8 toward (ABERDEEN / MONTESANO). Stay on it for 21.03 miles.
(09) WA 8 TURNS INTO US 12 WEST. Stay on it for 20.70 miles.
(10) US 12 WEST turns into Highway 101 NORTH. Stay on it for 3.70 miles.
(11) Continue to follow US 101 NORTH by turning RIGHT onto LEVEE Street.
Stay on it for 38.80 miles.
You are now at AMANDA PARK MILEPOST AT THIS POINT IS 130 .
