To get to the West side of the Park you need to get to the cities of Port Angeles or Forks. Below are the two cheapest ways to get to or close to trails on the West side of the Olympic Park:

1) QUICKEST AND ALMOST CHEAPEST METHOD :

From Seattle or SEATAC airport - 7 days a week - twice a day - OLYMPIC BUS LINES arrives at the Port Angeles main bus station (a parking lot) they share with CLALLAM TRANSIT. Clallam Transit can then take you to Neah Bay (8 miles from Shi Shi) Clallam Bay - (25 miles from Ozette) La Push (passing right by 3rd beach and within 6 miles of Rialto/Mora) and Forks. On way to Forks the bus passes by Elwha road - Sol Duc road - Lake Crescent etc. In Forks you can take WEST JEFFERSON TRANSIT South (going right by Hoh Visitor Center Road - where you can easily hitchhike to trailhead ) or Oil City road (slim chance to get ride ) and to Amanda Park - town closest to North Fork Quinault and Graves Creek).

2) CHEAPEST - NOT QUICKEST METHOD : From GREYHOUND STATION OLYMPIA - THIS METHOD ONLY WORKS DURING WEEKDAYS AND IF STARTING OUT EARLY EARLY MORNING

This link will get you from downtown Seattle to the Olympia Greyhound station....Packwood

There is also a Greyhound bus station in downtown Seattle - either method will get you to Greyhound bus station in Olympia.

Then...Go to this site GRAYS HARBOR TRANSIT and click on "schedule information" on left side menu.

Click on ROUTE 40 EAST COUNTY - check schedule from Greyhound station to Aberdeen - get yourself to Aberdeen. Go back and click on ROUTE 60 ABERDEEN - QUINAULT - With your destination being NORTH SHORE - BRANNON'S GROCERY. When you arrive at Brannon's Grocery you are 15 miles from North Fork of Quinault and Graves Creek trailheads. Go to WEST JEFFERSON TRANSIT and see connections from Brannon's to Forks. On way to Forks you pass (and bus driver will stop and let you off) the hostel, Oil city road (11 miles to trailhead), Hoh Oxbow campground, Hoh Rainforest road (18 miles to trailhead and easy to get ride from visitors/locals). Upon arrival in Forks you can connect with bus going to Neah Bay ( Shi Shi and Ozette ) or La Push (Rialto or 3rd beach) or Port Angeles. On way to Port Angeles via CLALLAM TRANSIT you will pass Tumbling Rapids Campground, Sol Duc (20 mile walk to trails - no chance of ride) Lake Crescent (Storm King), Elwha (24+ mile walk to trails - slim chance of ride) and when you arrive in Port Angeles you are 17+ miles from Hurricane Ridge. West Jefferson is 50 cents per adult. Clallam Transit has $2 day pass. Grays Harbor is most expensive (from Olympia to Brannon's $3 I believe).
