Trail Information

Backcountry Permits: Required for overnight trips - Obtain at Wilderness Information Center (WIC) in Port Angeles.
Camping: Please camp only in established camps or on sand to prevent vegetation damage.

Special Concerns

Leave No Trace: Please Leave No Trace of your stay to help protect park resources and to prevent further camping regulations.

Fires: Burn driftwood only. Have fires on the beach and not in campsites to protect tree roots.

Wildlife Precautions: All food, garbage and scented items must be stored in hard-sided food containers like bear canisters. These can be borrowed from the WIC in Port Angeles.

Safety: If traveling south, be sure to have a topographic map and tide chart. Some headlands are impassable at high tide.
